Updated Ratings for This MAJOR SNOWSTORM

Northeast Region: 8/10

Northwest Region: 7/10

Central Region: 5/10

Southwest Region: 4/10

Southeast Region: 3/10


This is what the number mean


0-2: A minor system should move through, almost no winds. Snow accumulations of 1-2 inches. No ice accumulations expected

3-5: A more stronger system, some mild winds could be strong at times, minor ice accumulations, and around 3-7" of snow accumulations expected

6-8: A pretty strong system, strong winds possible, pretty heavy ice accumulations could happen, pretty bad weather related travel delays, snow accumulations of 8-15"

9-10: Very strong system. (This is reserved for potentially a devastating storm that could last more than 3 days) Strong winds are likely, Very heavy ice accumulations could happen. Very bad weather related travel delays likely! Snow accumulations of 16"+
